ABOUT

Wheaton McClanathan is a professional bagpiper in the Phoenix Metropolitain area of Arizona. With over 20 years experience over 1,000 events under his belt, Wheaton is in his prime and ready to perform for your special event.

Wheaton has performed in the 2.5 mile long Fiesta Bowl parade and was selected to play the funeral service for the ultra famous baseball player Harmon Killebrew in 2011.

Though he used to compete in bagpipe competitions in Arizona and California the travel demands of a band and the commitment to family are hard to pair. Wheaton enjoys the coaching aspect of competition and can help you reach your goals. He has trained several students, young and old!

His father Michael McClanathan started playing when he was 10 years old, his father then taught Wheaton how to play and Wheaton is currently giving lessons to his 9 year old son, passing the tradition on! Check out the “Live Events” page to see when Wheaton is performing publicly and stop by.
